Pastor Todd Chipman

Todd Chipman was reared in a Christian home but was not converted until his college days at the University of Nebraska. Upon conversion, Todd sensed God’s call to ministry. God developed Todd’s teaching gifts through completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska.
After teaching elementary school for two years at Lincoln Christian School in Lincoln, Nebraska, Todd sensed a burden for pastoral ministry. Todd then served as an Associate Pastor for two years in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. During this pastoral work, God burdened Todd for the need to have a better grasp of the Bible, ultimately leading Todd and his family to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2005 Todd graduated with the M-Div and Master of Arts in Biblical Languages, and in 2014 with the Ph.D. in New Testament.
Since 2001 Todd has served as the Pastor-Teacher of The MCC, leading the Discipleship ministry.
Todd has worked to develop leadership for each area of our ministry so that we can all use our spiritual gifts and experience the joys of building the Church. Todd places a high value on service in the church, noting that the New Testament Church glorifies God as each member is involved in serving God (Ephesians 4: 11-16). As well as Pastoral leadership at The MCC, Pastor Todd is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where his research interests include Second Temple Judaism and Greek grammar.
Pastor Todd is married to Julie and they have seven children, the youngest two are adopted. The Chipman’s enjoy reading, following Kansas City sports and summer vacations in the Rocky Mountains.
