Even though our past spiritual failures lead us astray, like it did Israel, (3:1-12) there is Hope for God’s people: The Lord’s providential plans, His Mercy and Grace, Christ’s instruction, and discipline bring forth a new season of peace and prosperity where God and His people will be exalted as a source of instruction, justice, and righteousness to the world. (4:1-5) The weak will become strong again, and authority, might, and power will be restored to God’s people under God’s Rule! (4:6-5:1)
