Julie Chipman
My name is Julie Chipman. My husband, Todd, and I first came to MCC in the winter of 2000 and I’m currently over the Master’s Christian Academy ministry. MCA is a cooperative effort which ministers to homeschool families, providing opportunities for discipleship and fellowship.
I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, in a loving Christian home where I understood my need for Jesus as a young child. I was baptized and grew in my faith through a combination of home and church, but really understood discipleship in college through my involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) at the University of Nebraska. Todd and I met at Crusade and we were married in 1994. The Lord has blessed us with seven children. I love to spend time with my family, enjoying God’s beautiful creation. I also enjoy reading and taking in an occasional Royals game.
Master’s Christian Academy first became an idea in 2003, as a handful of MCC homeschool families saw an opportunity and need for our children to come together for discipleship and fellowship. Our children could gather for group activities and projects. Our first year we had approximately 12 students and we have seen great growth in our program, involving other local Bible believing families from different churches to also participate. We now have 85 students, representing about 15 local churches. I have administered this ministry from the beginning and several years ago the elders appointed me as deaconess to formally oversee this for MCC.
