Pastor Todd Chipman
Great to connect with you at themcc.org! Julie and I joined The MCC in 2000. After I completed the pastoral internship, God called me to serve as the Pastor/Teacher later that year. I have the privilege of preaching and leading our elder team and other leaders to equip members of The MCC for service in KC and around the world.
I was born in Omaha, NE and adopted as an infant by two loving parents from Scottsbluff, NE. My parents were a part of an evangelical church but it was not until my college years at the University of Nebraska that that Lord saved me. When I was converted, the Lord gave me a desire to share the good news and gifted me with an ability to teach. During my college years, He also gifted me with a wife! Julie and I were married in 1994 and have seven children. In our free time, you will find us hunting for pizza and chatting KC sports.

God used mentors and teachers in the church and the academy to give me a vision for how His word is to shape the life of the believer. After completing the BS in Education at the University of Nebraska in 1995 and completing two years of pastoral ministry, I enrolled at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I completed the Master of Divinity and Master of Arts Biblical Language Degrees in 2005 and the Ph.D. in New Testament in 2014. I serve at MBTS as an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and the Dean of Graduate Studies. My work as a pastor and professor has given me opportunities to write. I am the author of Until Every Child is Home: Why the Church Can and Must Care for Orphans (Moody Publishers, 2019) and Scripture Storyline: An Invitation to Biblical Theology (Fontes Press, 2020).
